The 52 Week Illustration Challenge: week 18 - Celestial Body

This week's theme of The 52 week illustration challenge  was a tough one. In the beginning (poor ignorant me!) I thought of little chubby angels when I read "Celestial Body". Since little chubby angels are not really my piece of cake I thought of skipping this week. But then I made a little search and got pictures of all sort of planets, stars, etc. Of course! THOSE celestial bodies!
Still, I wasn't very inspired. Until I thought "MOON"! Then all kinds of possibilities started to pop up in my head. In the end I came up with "Dreaming in the moonlight". I know, you only see a little moon in the background. My mind takes strange tours sometimes...

The 52 week illustration challenge: week 17 - Horse

I have already talked about the great initiative by Tania McCartney called "The 52 week illustration challenge" here.
This week's theme was "horse". I have made two different versions, partially colored in Photoshop.
Which one do you like the most?

Preparing the webshop...

Today I got the print on canvas of "Red Riding Hood"!!! Soon available on my webshop! :D
Those on the background are random people's bikes and cars. Not my car and not my bike. I have a "fake" (=never used) driving license and a children-size Mickey Mouse bike(=almost never used) which I would never post on this blog. EVER.
If you are wondering if there is any connection between this story and Red Riding Hood, no there isn't. I often jump from one random topic to an even more random topic without any hidden agenda. My husband loves it, especially if he's trying to watch Top Gear on TV.

Collage

Recently I am more and more into experimenting and mixing different materials. I am especially fond of collage.
This is an illustration that I realized some time ago. The story of a Japanese grandma knitting flowers...
I was looking at it and got inspired to do more work like this! Collage is quite time consuming but so much fun :)
